Description: A police inspector is put in charge of a case of open shooting where two gunmen on motorbikes opened indiscriminate fire on a group of transvestites. The inspector's investigations lead him to a mogul in the porn industry. As the police dragnet closes in on the porn king, his wife is arrested but later killed as she attempts to escape. Thus begins a series of revenge killings beginning with the execution of the Inspector's sister who also happens to be the wife of the judge handling the case. The police top brass take the case out of the Inspector's hands to prevent further lawlessness, but he responds by adopting the techniques of the gangsters ion exacting revenge.

The acting and the story was not what made it a big pleasure for me to watch though. What makes this stand above most other crime films (certainly most american) is that the shooting sequences are bloody. On top of the bloody shooting, the movie has a hand that gets chopped off (not a super great effect, but still fun).

A part from the gore the movie contains nudity, which is always welcome - be warned though not all the "women" are women.

Description: This is the Erotik-Director's Cut AKA The Final Cut version of Der Todesengel AKA Angel of Death: Fuck or Die by the great Andreas Bethmann. For a 2hr and 40min long movie, the plot is very simple: On the way back from a photo shoot, a woman gets raped by two guys in the woods. She gets revenge by killing them and some other ppl as well. The end. There is also another plot involving another blond, which honestly I can't figure out the point of or how it relates to the main story. Surely this is one of the most offense movies ever made; certainly the longest rape/revenge film I've ever come across. The best scene is when the main character kills one of the rapists, cuts off his head, and then masturbates with the head! This has got to be seen to be believed. Cut into 2 parts, so everyone can grab it. Enjoy!

Description: A very well done rape/revenge/vengeance, teensploitation thriller that not only held my interest from start to finish, but made me feel scared for the lead character, played perfectly by Tina Ivlev. It's an intense, unflinching look at the realities of human trafficking/sex slave operations going on right now in a neighborhood near you! The protagonist, Eve, a very young female, gets abducted and wakes up chained to a bed in a basement. She manages to overpower and subdue her abductor, but while looking for a way off the unknown property, she finds pictures of other young girls whom are obviously going through the same hellish waking nightmare as her. Instead of just running away, she forces her sexual predator to take her to the other girls, with the hopes of rescuing them. All this happens in the first 10 minutes, prior to the opening credits! The majority of the movie is what happens while she goes house to house, trying to free the other captives. Particularly creepy is the scene with the girl who has cage around her head (see purple pics). Highly recommended! Not soon forgotten!

Description: A young woman loses her voice after the death of her parents. An intruder in her apartment attempts to rape her and she kills him. After this she carries his gun as protection. She attempts to get rid of the attacker's body and ends up in situations where her only option is to kill to get away. She begins to use the gun indiscriminately for those she feels have wronged her.

Fury In Red maintains a basic nature Ms. 45 also had which makes it all the more deep and powerful.

The original Taiwanese version, FURY IN RED is the IFD presented version of Richard Chen's 1982 vigilante thriller (IFD's copyright is 1985). The Ocean Shores vcd of the original version is missing brief pieces of violence showing Penny sawing through the bones of her first victim... despite it taking place in the introverted colors. IFD also cut a part of a lounge singing scene but in essence, we're dealing with nearly similar edits here. This of course means that this is not a Godfrey Ho cut and paste job (a few years later IFD did re-visit the movie and made it into a Pierre Kirby vehicle) but a movie IFD in 1985 deemed to have a chance standing on its own legs and Richard Chen is even maintained as director.

When last we left Black Belt Jones, aka "Black Belt", aka "BBJ", aka "The Afro", aka "Lucas", he had foiled an African-American-Italian gang of mobsters with the help of a trampoline, a sudsy car wash and the strategic turning off and on of light switches. He also slaughtered a hobo's guitar in the name of love, lest we forget. Since then, he's been employed by an insurance company who hopes to utilize his blunt detective skills and high kicking prowess in solving a diamond theft in Hong Kong.

With the help of a few thousand facial close-ups and a funky beat, BBJ smirks his way through a 12-step progression of clue-fight-clue-fight-girl-fight-clue-hairstyle appointment-clue-clue-fight-finale. Considering that he's the only black guy in Hong Kong, he's probably not the most inconspicuous detective for hire, but his style all but makes up for it.

After suffering a nervous breakdown, Peggy Heller (Judy Geeson) has started to recover and is now headed toward a fresh start, of sorts. She has married a man named Robert (Ralph Bates), who teaches at an exclusive school for boys. As part of her new marriage, she plans to move in with Robert at the rural boarding school, but on the night she is to depart, she is attacked by a strange assailant. The attacker has only one arm and while the incident has frightened her, Peggy plans to move ahead with her plans. When she arrives at the school, it turns out to be an odd and disturbing place to her, especially once she encounters its headmaster. The man in charge is Mr. Carmichael (Peter Cushing), a very strange individual in his own right, even if he wasn't married to the ice cold, bitch on wheels named Molly (Joan Collins).

In addition, the school just seems too prim and proper to her, as if some dirty secrets were present and someone was always working hard to maintain the pristine appearance. One night while resting in their cottage, Peggy finds herself confronted by the one armed man yet again and of course, she is petrified that the attacks could become frequent. So when Mr. Carmichael breaks into the cottage, Peggy assumes it is the one armed man and shoots him. In the moments that follow, all her memories have been lost and buried in her psyche, leaving her in the dark about her own actions. Has she killed Mr. Carmichael, was it all a dream, or is some darker force at work at the school?

Fear in the Night is an ambitious horror film with a story structure that is quite different than most other shockers. Time is at times manipulated, and all of the characters, including the protagonist, appear to be concealing the truth. Throughout nearly the entire movie, the viewer is left in the dark as to what is really happening. Because of such a structure, the film is detached and distant, making it extremely slow moving and at times uninvolving. Although remaining oblique about the characters does make the film slow moving, it also ensures that the climax is irregular and enlightening, with a more than worthy payoff.
